What is NLP

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming – but for those in the know, it stands for so much more.

NLP encompasses the three most influential components of the human experience: neurology, language and programming. It’s so very important because it describes how our personalities are created and how we express ourselves as individuals.

There are many interpretations of NLP, though the essential nature of it lies in how our brains are hard-wired.

In simple terms, our brain is like a computer hard drive. External influences such as our environment, the conversations we have each day, and the way we perceive things in the media are all transmitted to that big thinking muscle in our head.

What separates us from computers is our personality, and sometimes, that is where the problems begin. Part of being human means we create meaning in things, and we decipher these perceptions into meanings, beliefs, opinions and expectations.

As we grow, we tend to filter, distort and magnify these perceptions with the input we get from our environmental influences, so that it matches the elaborate program we have created in our own minds to define our life experience.

Where NLP takes over is by understanding that we can control our perceptions and the internal programming and external behaviours we have set up to make sense of it all. That is why NLP involves strategic thinking to realise the cognitive processes behind our behaviour. It encompasses a whole range of techniques to instantly create new neural pathways and more desired state of thinking.

NLP also provides tools and skills to maintain a state of excellence, as well as wisdom and vision.

The beauty of NLP is that we can increase our state of excellence ANY time. So long as we can think for ourselves, we can change our state. We can delete the bits that make us hurt, and access the emotions that make us feel great ANY time we choose. Right now!

There are many amazing NLP techniques that can help you change your state in an absolute instant. What would that do for you?
